June 27, 2024 - Miami, FL __ Laetisia Belizaire has been officially installed as the new Consul General of Haiti in Miami. The ceremony took place this Thursday, marking a significant milestone in her distinguished career. Born in Port-au-Prince in 1990, Belizaire has demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill in the diplomatic field, rising from a diplomatic attaché at Toussaint Louverture International Airport to her current position as Head of Mission at the Consulate General of Miami.

Belizaire's journey to this esteemed position is marked by a combination of rigorous academic training and extensive professional experience. She earned her associate degree in scientific protocol and international trade from the American Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights in Washington, D.C., in April 2024. This recent achievement adds to her already impressive academic credentials.

In April 2019, she received a certificate in international diplomacy from the Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs in Taiwan. She further bolstered her expertise with a certificate in international diplomacy from the Indian Foreign Service Institute in September 2018.

Belizaire also holds an MBA in event management and planning from Florida Atlantic University, completed in July 2014. Her educational foundation is solidified with a master’s degree in public relations from the National Diplomatic and Consular Academy of Haiti (August 2011) and a master’s degree in law from Quisqueya University of Haiti (May 2010).

Madame Bélizaire's appointment is seen as a beacon of hope and renewal for Haitian diplomacy.
